A Blog for Freelance Scientists?

by Rico on March 26th, 2008

On the off chance that you’re actually a freelancing scientist (or at least consider yourself one), you should check out Freelancing Science. The blog offers helpful advice on those who want to freelance off their scientific talent.

The question running through my mind right now is: Is it actually feasible for a specialist to make a living off freelancing? Doesn’t the limited scope of their talent also limit their project opportunities?

    Thanks for mentioning :).

You have a pretty good question, and a simple answer is yes, it’s hard to find freelance opportunities for a scientist. On the other hand, there’s almost no competition, so I thought it’s worth to try… Also, I would reverse that question, this is “doesn’t limited project opportunities also limit scope of their talent”. And unfortunately answer again would be “yes”. But that’s another story…
