How Clients Can Help You Work Faster
From my experiences so far, I’ve learned that a client can help you work faster by providing:
- Clear ideas on how the project should turn out.
- The assets (high-res pictures, logos, copy, etc.) you’ll need to fulfill the project
Many times clients have these assets at hand, and it’s just a simple matter of sending them to you. For some reason though, they take their time doing this, not realizing that they’re actually delaying the project’s completion. And if you’re like me, I want a project out of the way ASAP, so that I can move on to other money-generating ventures.
If you’ve yet to receive the assets from your client, and you’ve made all that you can without their help (like creating a layout with filler text for example), it’s time to follow up. I find that politely mentioning that the project won’t get done until you receive the assets works really well.
