Contract Workers Avoid Workplace Violence
It’s so easy to recommend becoming a contract worker by pointing out the negatives of the corporate world. Freelancers should be glad that they don’t have to put up with workplace violence. Confined Space, a blog that provides “News and Commentary on Workplace Health & Safety, Labor and Politics” reports:
The great majority of establishments that had experienced a workplace violence incident, did not change their workplace violence prevention policies, even though the incidents had a negative impact on their workforce.
Contract Workers, since they usually work away from the office or at the very least aren’t significantly involved in a company’s politics, are saved from such risk. This also means it’s easier for them to focus on what’s really important: getting the job done.
