Does Jelly! Really Work?
I recently found out about Jelly!, an interesting arrangement that promises the best of office collaboration and the comfort of working at home. This co-working setup has attracted attention from Wired and even the Today Show, so says the official website.
The prospect of brainstorming with new people on a regular basis is appealing to me, save for my own introverted nature. I can imagine that Jelly! would work for contract workers who thrive productively on social interactions, as supposed to me someone like me who needs to become a hermit to get any work done. I do think I can benefit by participating, but only from the possibility of new suggestions, ideas, and perspectives. In short, I’d only go to a Jelly! meet to come up with new approaches, not to execute them.
In any case, I think the following are required for a successful Jelly! meet, the reasons of which are probably obvious:
- A laptop with a long battery life
- Extension cords plug splitters
- A strong router
- Fast connectivity
- Food and drinks
Anyone out there experienced in Jelly!-ing? Feel free to share its benefits and drawbacks. :)

I saw a “office” like this in portland. It was a renovated old house that people could rent daily. there was a community meeting room, mail room, and private office. You paid a daily, weekly, or monthly fee and got access to office supplise, desks, etc.
A cool way to work from home.
