Earn Money Off Yahoo Messenger
You probably use Yahoo Messenger. At the very least, it’s a very popular IM app, and all your friends, contacts, and even clients are using it to communicate online. In fact, if you haven’t installed it on your computer, you should probably download it now.
I’ve always believed in the benefits of affiliate marketing. As Brian Clark recently wrote, it’s a sustainable way of making money. I see it as a great way to supplement your income as a freelancer.
Here’s an example: Commission Junction recently announced a program that rewards publishers who successfully convince people to start using Yahoo! Messenger. It promises at least $1 for every US user that downloads Yahoo’s popular IM client through Internet Explorer. Honestly, how hard it is to convince people to download YM? I mean, Internet Explorer is still the most popular browser out there. Maybe the challenge is in locating people who still don’t use YM?
Unfortunately, I can’t participate in this program (probably because I’m in the Philippines). In any case, you might want to sign up for a CJ account and get the affiliate links for Yahoo Messenger. You have nothing to lose.

That’s pretty sad. If your IM client is so bad that you have to literally pay people to use it, you should probably either go back to the drawing board or scrap the project.
