Enjoying the Holidays
Before Christmas comes, make sure you’ve finished everything.
Because they’re so close to each other, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll be working on the days between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Which is a good thing, because this is a rare oppurtunity to enjoy a week or so with no deadlines to meet.
So finish everything due next year, before the Holidays arrive. Burn the midnight oil if necessary. Because these rest days are meant to be enjoyed. Savor the free time, sleep in, bum around and/or spend quality time with friends and loved ones.
In other words, to paraphrase Garth from Wayne’s World (pictured), “it’s like studying on Friday so you can party Saturday night.” The same applies to all holidays. Everything should be done before them, or you’ll find yourself working on a rest day.
