Ever Feel Commoditized?
It’s easy to feel like a commodity, with many clients interested in interacting with you only for your work. It’s easy to think that they’d rather buy your creativity and talent in easy-to-manage packaging.
Personally, in times like these, I think it’s our passion for the craft that keeps us going, and makes it easier to realize that we’re in it for business too.

Hilarious picture. Insightful post.
The down and dirty of selling services, is that our clients don’t give a “darn” (replace with colorful language of your choice) about us, except to the extent we are making a difference for them.
The subject is always them.

That’s a much better, and ultimately more effective, perspective on the matter Karl. I guess we also need to remind ourselves that as freelancers, we’re serving people.
