Contract Worker - Freelancing Experiences

Freelance Myth #3: Mondays are Dreary

Mondayitis also applies to freelancers and contract workers. Particularly if they impose a strict work schedule on themselves.

It’s all a matter of perception. A great way to hate something is to consider it a necessity, as an obligation to fulfill. Unfortunately, this is how many people see work.

But it’s also possible to look at work differently. We can see work as a challenge to effect change. Or a ticket to greener, less-stressful pastures. It’s definitely more satisfying to earn something, rather than getting it for free.

So it makes no sense to consider Mondays a dreary beginning to yet another busy, project-filled week. We can also regard Mondays as a new opportunity to get things done and make something out of our skills and talent.

Have a good work week, dear readers!
