Getting Things Done at its Simplest
Another Monday. More Monday Madness. Five years ago, the seminal David Allen book Getting Things Done started something big. Popular productivity blogs, like 43 folders, are based on concepts found in the self-help guide. Five years later, this time management system is actually increasing in popularity.
If you’re wondering what the fuss is all about, but don’t have the time to find out, Mike Villar has helpfully made a copy of his GTD presentation online. You can download it here (PowerPoint format, 3.5 MB). The presentation is short and sweet, and you’ll understand the routine within a few minutes. This fast approach makes sense, because as one slide simply says: “Do not spend too much time organizing your tasks. In fact, spend more time doing them.”
So as you go about your work week, check out the presentation when you have the time. If you don’t know anything about the GTD system, you’ll learn a lot from this PowerPoint file.
