Having It Easy Makes it Hard
Losing motivation? You’re probably forgetting how lucky you are. How easily things come for you. It’s a natural reaction, when everything’s going your way.
Maybe you need to see how hard it is for some people. Like how they can’t seem to get a decent job when you did on your first try. Or how they have to work on someone else’s computer when you get a laptop for graduation. Or how they have to fight through a poorly designed mass transit system, while you go to clients or meetings in a car.
When you realize that you’ve had so many lucky breaks, you’ll realize there’s so much more you can accomplish. That alone should be enough motivation. You should be thinking of ways to maximize all the good breaks of your life, if only not to let them go to waste.
And even if you can’t get a job, don’t have your own equipment to use, or feel like a sardine as you commute, just remember: Someone else is always worse off than you.

Ah! I do not know Rico. I know what you say, and my rational asks me to believe in what you are saying.
But there are times when I notice people who are much better of than me, and yes - that leads to motivation loss.

That’s another way of looking at things. But I think seeing people who are better off can also be a motivator. When I see a wealthy person, I’m motivated to become like him, to enjoy what he does. Know what I mean? :)

Yeah true. But it is kind of a two-edged sword. It can get you depressed - and yes, it can get you motivated. Guess that is why I am still sticking on to whatever I am doing. :)
