How Online Search Can Help Freelancers

by Rico on May 12th, 2008

Anyone who’s into design and coding Wordpress-related stuff should check out wordpressjob.com. It promises to cull all job openings that have something to do with the popular blogging platform for easy search and perusal.

Discovering this site made me wonder? Why won’t someone create a freelance job search site? Instead of the typical job site (of which there are already many), such a site will crawl the web, compiling job openings and indexing them according to category.

For example… if a user searches for “SEO”, the website will list all openings that are related to Search Engine Optimization. It would be like the Google for freelancers, where online search helps freelancers locate the jobs they need.

Then again, there could be a site out there that already does this. If so, please let me know about it! Alternatively, if you’re a master website coder, why not try executing this idea? Not only will you help other freelancers, you get to create a hot online property that you’ll eventually sell for millions!

Seriously, this idea seems so good to me that I do hope that someone’s already done it. Do let me know if he or she already exists!
