How Sick and Tired Are You of Losing Ideas?
I’m a bit pissed right now, because I had such a wonderful idea for a project a few hours ago. Now I can’t seem to remember what it was.
Yes, I already talked about keeping a notebook handy to write down your ideas. But there was no way of recording the idea nearby, so I lazily resolved to keep that thought in mind and write it down at my convenience.
Unfortunately, when I finally decided to save the idea for posterity, I realized that I forgot what it was. Regardless of whether or not I remember it later on, I’m still unable to capitalize on my inspiration at my convenience. And if I scrambled to write the idea down while I was working, I risk losing focus on what’s at hand.
That’s why I’ve decided to buy one of those thick yet compact notebooks (a Moleskine perhaps?) and a pen, and keep them near me at all times. They’ll make writing down ideas a simple matter of quickly scrawling some thoughts on the notebook, making sure that the interruption won’t be too disruptive to my productivity. At the same time, I’ll never experience the frustration associated with forgetting great ideas.
Then it’s settled. Now all I have to do is remember to do this the next time I visit a bookstore…

I have been a victim of that several times. :( I have not yet got a good solution for it.
Notepad - I guess I will consider that.
