How to Spend Less Than $100 For Your Home Office
You can always count on the fairer sex to think about the details, and getting things done. While a guy like me procrastinates.
I’ve yet to finish my Avoiding the Temptations of Home series, where I’ve talked about working in a great home office and it how it isn’t necessarily expensive. Looks like Erin Loechner(?) agrees with me, providing a helpful list that promises A Stylish Home Office on a Not-So-Stylish Budget:
- IKEA Hensvik Bookcase: $59.99
- Goodwill desk/chair painted white: $18.00
- Goodwill lamp: $4.50
- Goodwill mailbox painted black: $.50
- Office Depot mini-storage unit: $3.99
- Office Depot file folders: $2.99/3 pk.
- Goodwill remaining decor: $8.50
- Grand Total: $96 [and then some].
Erin shows that a little creativity and some patient looking around makes it possible to get what you want without busting the bank. Of course, this list is suited to her unique personality. You don’t have to mimic her choices, because you can surely come up with your own.
Thanks to the Consumerist for the heads-up.
