Is Cutting-Edge Freelance Dead?
Here’s what I mean. Thanks to all that wonderful content on freelancing now available online (hopefully, this includes some of what I’ve written here in Contract Worker), a lot of people already have a good idea of what it takes to succeed at freelancing.
- Submit on time and to spec
- Know your worth
- Know your fundamentals
- Practice, practice, practice
- Market yourself ruthlessly
- Manage your finances properly
That’s hardly a complete list, but that’s beside the point. You can find advice for freelancers practically anywhere online, and that’s the point. With everyone talking about freelancing, and how to be a better contract worker, aren’t we all basically talking about the same things over and over again, with a new angle, but the same ultimate point nonetheless?
