I don’t know a contract worker who doesn’t use a computer, so this gem on Digg will prove useful. Van Mardian spent $33.42 for a pegboard, some hasps, screws, wooden dowels, styrofoam, and some wire. He used them to move those messy wires, peripherals, and external drives underneath his desk:

It’s probably a lazy Sunday as you read this. You might want to take the time to check out the instructions, print them out, buy the materials, and rig up your own desk. This is a great way to increase your productivity as you work at home. Everything’s neat, but whatever you need is still at hand. This cuts down potential distractions.

Ah! You should see my house. I think, in terms of neatness, I am still a teenager, even though in all other ways I have grown up.
The house is a mess, and seems to remain that way most of the times. Yes, there are times, when I brace myself, and get it all to sparkling condition. But with in a week, entropy prevails.
There is no hope!

Haha, I’ll admit I share your problem Vyoma. I did try keeping things neat by placing all the wires behind the table. But they’re still messy on the floor.
That’s why I think this solution is great!
