Learn Good Writing from National Punctuation Day

Apparently, it was National Punctuation Day yesterday (if you were in the US). What’s really important for me isn’t the date, but the official website’s pages on the proper use of punctuation. And it even has a great passage from Ernest Hemingway:

“My attitude toward punctuation is that it ought to be as conventional as possible. The game of golf would lose a good deal if croquet mallets and billiard cues were allowed on the putting green. You ought to be able to show that you can do it a good deal better than anyone else with the regular tools before you have a license to bring in your own improvements.”
— Ernest Hemingway, letter, May 15, 1925 —

The proper use of punctuation makes you writing so much easier to understand, doing wonders for your freelance career. Check out the various sections of www.nationalpunctuationday.com, and you may learn some new things.
