“No Links Please” Gets Rid of Productivity-Draining Links

Have you ever wasted time surfing because you simply couldn’t leave every last link unclicked? (Avid wiki readers know exactly what I’m talking about). No Links Please is a great browser add-on that simply removes all links from web pages aside from Google: “Without the knowledge or temptation of links you are free to devote all your time to real work and never roam the web again.”

Amen to that! I just wish creator James Clarke integrated some easy way of choosing which sites (such as Google) are exempted from No Links Please’s link destruction. At least those knowledgeable in JavaScript can just modify the @exclude list (translation for laymen: mess with the extension’s code).

Obviously, No Links Please is not a permanent solution. As Merlin says: “this is much less dramatic than having to shut off the router.” It’s just for those who simply can’t resist the new information promised by all those website links, and doesn’t even involve leaving your computer chair.
