Contract Worker - Freelancing Experiences

Saving Copies of Your Projects Benefits You and Your Clients

by Rico on April 26th, 2007

A good freelancer gives great customer service. One way a contract worker can do this is to save copies of previous projects. You never know when they may come in handy. You can use them as an inspiration for new projects. And when things go wrong, a client can always ask you for another copy of the work.

A friend recently received a web design from a freelance designer. As an aspiring web designer himself, he poked into the design’s code. Unfortunately, he accidentally broke the site and didn’t know how to fix it. Luckily, the web designer had a backup of the entire project. It was a simple matter of restoring the original files to the website to make everything right.

Maintaining a copy of all the projects you’ve accomplished is easier than it sounds. Especially if you have a good Inventory 2.0.
