What We Should Call Monday

Sometimes I Wish We’d Call Monday “Mercday” in honor of the Roman god Mercury, styled as the messenger of the gods. And as errant boy for the divinities, Mercury did “swift flights from place to place“, to fulfill the Olympians’ bidding. This implies he was quite a busy fellow.
The same thing should apply to our Mondays, in the sense that we should hit the first day of the week running, figuratively. The law of inertia figures greatly here: start the workweek on an active note, and it will carry over to the rest of the week. If your project’s timetable is totally dependent on your actions, who knows? By the time Thursday or even Wednesday arrives, you could be done with a lot of things.
So, dear readers, let’s give Monday a new name. It’ll be our little secret. And I’m definitely open to suggestions better than “Mercday.” It might make people think we’re a bunch of mercenaries. Which we’re definitely not. Or are we? ;)
