What You Should Know When Selling a Website
If you’re like me, you probably have some websites to sell. Some of them may actually be earning for you, but the time spent maintaining them may not be worth it.
In any case, a good way to sell your website, especially if it concentrates on a specific topic, would be to put it up for bidding on the Digital Point forums. They even have a few tips on how to do that properly.
Why Sell Websites in the First Place?
Well, you have to consider the time and money you’ll spend on them; could they be better used somewhere else? Here’s what I’ve learned over my last two active years on the online world: you can maintain many business-oriented websites (i.e., meant to make money), because you can use the income it generates to hire people to manage them. Personal websites on other hand may be a genuine waste of your personal resources, because their potential income is limited.
In short, here’s a rule I’d like to see more online publishers apply: maintain as many business websites that can pay for themselves and earn you money, but keep only one personal site.
