Contract Worker - Freelancing Experiences

Why Freelancers Should Exercise More

Welcome to 2007! The last resolution I made for this year is: Get some exercise!

Thanks to computers, cars, machines, and other technological improvements, we can do so much more with less physical effort. This means we can produce more within the same amount of time, but it also means we need to exercise less. In fact, being an apparently active person is already a status symbol.

We freelancers and contract workers should make it a point to exercise regularly. Especially those who spend most of the day in front of a computer, like I do. It’s ironic (to me at least) that doing physical activity leaves you with more energy. Energy which will help your productivity greatly and allow you to get more things done.

And besides, I’m tired of having a big tummy and feeling heavy. And sometimes I find myself too tired to do my best. It’s time I return to my early college days, when I had to run a lot and do push-ups for our Citizen’s Military Training. Back then, I felt I could do anything, and moved as nimbly as my awkward body would allow.

May 2007 prove to be a great for you all! :D
