Why the Wimbledon 2008 Men’s Final is Important to Freelancers
To be honest, I don’t know why. But the recently concluded 2008 men’s finals in Wimbledon—where Nadal finally dethroned five-time champ Federer—was so spectacular that I just had to write about it here. And of course, post highlights!
Was it both players’ refusal to give in? Nadal’s sudden change in tactics during the fifth (when he started rushing the net), and Federer’s ability to quickly adapt to situations? Probably. But if you know what freelancers can learn from this epic tennis match, feel free to leave a comment below. :)

Tennis players, now that I think about it, really are sorta freelancers - they aren’t part of a permanent team, they work when they can (and until they’re asked to leave), and they are completely on their own on the court.
Sunday’s match was one of the best.

Very true Maddy. Actually, I’m thinking the lifestyle of a professional athlete (at least in sports that have tournaments all over the world, like golf) mimics that of a freelancer!
With all due respect, I have to disagree with you though. Sunday’s match was the best tennis game I ever saw. :)
