You Sure?

“We’d hate to lose you.”
“I can’t stand driving through traffic anymore.”
“What will you do now?”
“I’m planning to freelance, I’ll be working from home!”
“You sure? Who will you work for?”
“Oh, clients I find here and there.”
“So how will you find them?”
“I’ll just let everyone know about what I do. I can post my portfolio on my blog, and accept inquiries there.”
“That’s it? You won’t reach out?”
“Reach out?”
“Yeah you know, taking the time to actually look for clients and get them to hire you?”
“Errr…”
“I mean, our marketing department works we have an entire department working full-time to get new accounts, right?”
“Ummm… can I just telecommute?”
“I’m sure that can be arranged.”
